MONITORING OF THE QUALITY OF CLINICAL DIAGNOSTICS MENINGEAL SYMPTOM COMPLEX

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the quality of the diagnosis of meningeal symptom complex (MSC) for the ten-year period. It was based on the assessment of 300 case histories of patients who were treated on the infection clinic during 1999-2002 and 136 case histories during 2012. A significant improvement revealed in the quality of diagnosis MSCs, however, there is a need to improve the differential diagnosis of viral and bacterial meningitis at an early stage and it is necessary to improve diagnosis of intermediate forms of neuroinfections
