ORGANIZATION OF RESEARCH WORK IN EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT “GRODNO STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article presents data about organization of research work and major areas of research at the Grodno State Medical University. 13 scientific-pedagogical schools (4 of them being established within the last 5 years) carrying out research in major fields of medicine have been developing successfully at the University. Their activities help to provide a high level of training of medical students as well as to implement up-to-date medical knowledge into practical healthcare. The staff of the University carries out research aimed at elaborating new methods of diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation. The results of basic research are actively implemented into applied medicine as well as training of academic staff of higher qualification. The University creates favorable conditions for career advancement, organizing and holding of scientific conferences and seminars, organizing and supervision of students’ research and scientific publishing activities, development of international scientific cooperation.
