Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine endothelial function in patients with arterial hypertension stage I-II and bronchial asthma. The study included 91 patients and 30 healthy individuals. Endothelial function was determined by the ultrasound method for brachial artery. Endothelial dysfunction was detected in 84.7% of patients with hypertension combined with uncontrolled asthma and in 47.1% in combination with controlled asthma. We observed decrease in the sensitivity of the brachial artery to shear stress, as well as deterioration of endothelial function with increasing blood pressure, inadequate lowering of blood pressure at night, with amplification of bronchial obstruction, lack of control over asthma.
