Abstract

The purpose of the study – to evaluate the effectiveness of a differentiated approach to the treatment and prevention of disorders of endothelial function in postmenopausal women. 54 patients have been treated in the period of post-menopausal women: 39 women (I group) using a combined therapy, including endothelioprotective drugs and 15 women (II group) with the use of conventional therapy. Combined therapy led to decrease in the median values of the number of circulating endothelial cells in women in group I 1.8 times, increase in content of nitrate/nitrite in the blood plasma of 1.6 times and to the increase in endothelium-dependent vasodilation of the brachial artery by 1.9 times, that indicates an improvement of the endothelium state against the therapy.
